Lines inscribed on peeling layers are a permanent record of moments lived and weathered, whispering quiet memories of time and place. My thoughts match the pace of my hiking, with unraveling thoughts countered by the drive to keep moving. I gather textures and color as sensory fragments as my feet move on. Later, my hands paint and stitch, embracing the rhythm of those collected moments in fabric and thread. Sylvan Echo is part of a series based on my quest to navigate life’s changes while walking through the woods.
